A Brief Biography
I'm Alejandra Arzola, currently in the role of Student Programs Coordinator at BioscienceLA. My career is defined by a steadfast commitment to driving impactful initiatives and fostering growth and success through strategic planning and execution.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Child Development from California State University, Northridge. Leveraging my academic foundation and years of experience in program coordination, I excel in creating and implementing strategies that drive positive outcomes.
Throughout my professional journey, I have had the privilege of working with diverse groups, from "at-risk" youth in continuation high schools to adult volunteers in non-profit organizations. My roles have ranged from mentoring and teaching to coordinating educational programs and facilitating training sessions. Notable experiences include volunteering with the MOSAIC program, serving as an Education Coordinator at a non-profit organization, and working as a Literacy Program Assistant for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Additionally, I have international teaching experience as a Foreign Educator at Worwick Franklin Institute in South Korea and as an Elementary Teacher at a private school upon my return to the United States.
My wide array of experiences has equipped me with the skills to manage resources efficiently and cultivate strong relationships within teams and organizations. I am deeply committed to organizing seamless programs that have a tangible impact, and I continually seek innovative approaches to enhance project outcomes.
